Above and Beyonce

Growing up, I feel like we all have looked up to a celebrity or wanted to be one, in one way or another. For many girls, that celebrity was Beyonce. She not only has great music, but she is respected among many for her outstanding character while being in the limelight 24/7.

Lisa Robinson from Vanity Fair had the honor of interviewing Beyonce about her life, and about how her career started. It was inspiring to hear how despite many obstacles growing up, she kept going until she reached her dream. Beyonce makes it a goal to stay true to herself, despite the standards and scandals most celebrities face during their careers. If Beyonce can stay true to morals and her authentic self while living such a public life, I believe we can do the same.

Beyonce gave her alter ego self a name – Sasha. Sasha came out during performances and was more outgoing and fearless than Beyonce. Sasha comes out when she wants to lose herself in the moment, or do things Beyonce normally would not. This stuck out to me, the idea that all of us might have some sort of alter ego that comes out during certain scenarios, and we might not even realize it. What are your Sasha moments?
